Every timepiece in our collection represents the pinnacle of horological craftsmanship. Proper care ensures your watch maintains its precision and beauty for generations to come.
Daily Wearing
Put your watch on after applying perfume, cologne, lotions, or hairspray — chemicals can damage the case finish and degrade gaskets. Remove your watch before strenuous activities, sports, or manual labor to prevent impacts and excessive vibration that affect the movement.
Water Resistance
Water resistance is not permanent. Gaskets deteriorate over time and should be tested annually by an authorized service center. Never operate the crown or pushers underwater. After saltwater exposure, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Avoid hot tubs and saunas — extreme temperature changes can compromise seals.
Movement Care
For automatic (self-winding) watches: if unworn for more than 48 hours, manually wind the crown 20–30 turns to restart the movement. A watch winder is recommended for watches with complex complications such as perpetual calendars or moon phases to avoid lengthy resetting procedures.
For quartz watches: if the watch will not be worn for an extended period, have the battery removed by a professional to prevent leakage and corrosion. Replace batteries promptly when the seconds hand begins jumping in 4-second intervals (EOL indicator).
Protect Against Magnetism
Keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields: smartphones, tablets, laptop speakers, magnetic clasps, and MRI machines. Magnetism causes the hairspring to stick, resulting in significant timekeeping errors. If your watch suddenly gains several minutes per day, it may need demagnetization by a watchmaker.
Case & Bracelet Cleaning
Stainless steel and titanium: clean with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and lukewarm water with a soft-bristle brush on the bracelet. Gold and rose gold cases: use only a microfiber cloth to avoid micro-scratches. Leather straps: keep dry, avoid direct sunlight, and allow to air between wearings.
Crystal Care
Sapphire crystal is extremely scratch-resistant (Mohs hardness 9) but not shatter-proof. Avoid sharp impacts against hard surfaces. Mineral crystal can be polished to remove light scratches. Clean the crystal with a microfiber cloth — avoid paper towels or abrasive materials.
Professional Servicing
Mechanical watches should be serviced every 4–6 years by an authorized watchmaker. This includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, re-oiling the movement, replacing worn gaskets, water resistance testing, and precision regulation. Always use authorized service centers to maintain your warranty and ensure genuine replacement parts.
A finely crafted timepiece is more than an instrument — it is an heirloom that carries the stories of time itself. Treat it with the respect it deserves, and it will serve you faithfully for a lifetime.
